Come and learn how to make a landscape quilt.
In class we will work with the photo provided.

Machine Applique Methods
We will use a simple design as shown. Each bird will be stitched differently.
Satin Sitch; Zig-zag; Blanket Stitch; Invisible; Reverse; Experiment with your machine's decorative stitches and pretty threads.

Wedges Rule
Have a bit of fun creating a unique Table Topper or you can use the method to make a large quilt.
The Lesson also includes creating interest in the background area.

An Introduction to Thread Painting
A bit of collage and playing with fabric and thread. A little experience with free motion quilting will be very useful.

Sampler Quilt
10 Lessons. 24 Patterns provided
Sew a block in each lesson and make the additional blocks after class. Learn various methods including Foundation Paper Piecing, Applique by Hand and by Machine, English Paper Piecing etc.
Quilt Construction, Sashing, Cornerstones, Borders, Binding.
This is a course which sets you up for all future quilt making.

I have been working as a professional artist & quilter for over 19 years. Originally my medium was Oil and Acrylic Paint, but now I specialize in creating original fiber art with fabric & thread. My work has been featured in galleries across the country and I have won several awards for my pieces.
