My quilting style really depends on the quilt top I am quilting.
Whether it's Edge to Edge quilting, or Custom quilting, I believe quilting should make your quilt pattern and piecing shine. Everything I quilt is free motion hand guided (not computerised) so a lot of thought and attention goes into my quilting.

Pricing
Pricing will depend on the size, complexity and time to quilt. I am happy to discuss various quilting options such as edge to edge quilting or custom quilting. You can trust my longarm quilting service for good results as I truly do 'quilt with joy'.
Preparing Quilts
- My longarm quilting service provides edge to edge quilting or custom quilting on any size quilt up to King.
- Do not baste your quilt.
- Backing and batting must be at least 15cm larger on all sides than the quilt top.
- Iron your quilt top and backing for best results.
Quilt top
- Please press your quilt top
- make sure all seam are lying flat
- Trim threads
Batting
- Must be at least 10cm larger on all sides of the quilt top
- Please research the different types of batting. For a soft comfy quilt you may want to consider cotton or wool or bamboo batting. Loomtex gives you a slightly stiffer quilt (natural fibres vs synthetic fibres). I am happy to provide information and advice.
Backing
- Must be at least 25cm longer and wider than the quilt top
- If you are joining fabrics for your backing, please make sure you sew backing seams with 5/8" seam allowance. Press those seams open to avoid bulk at the back.
- Wash and please press your backing well. Fold without creating creases by laying the backing and batting on a table and fold them up together.
- please make sure your backing has parallel sides for proper loading onto the long arm
Postage
Should you choose to use my longarm quilting service for custom quilting or edge to edge quilting, please note:
If you are not local, you are more than welcome to courier your quilt to me. I will look after them with care as if they were my own.
You will be responsible for return postage. For the safety of your beloved quilt, I only use door to door or counter to counter courier services.
You may opt to arrange insurance on your parcel as I am not able to take responsibility for any quilts should they go missing. I do not use the South African Post Office to post quilts, nor will I pick up from there.
Postage Instructions:
I suggest quilts to be posted are wrapped in a plastic bag before placing them into a box. Please tape the parcel up very well. I will provide the delivery address to you.
