My love of art started at a very young age - painting in Watercolor, Acrylics and Oils has always been a part of life. I started my career as a professional artist with my own Ceramic Studio in Richard's Bay, supplying a local store and exhibited paintings and ceramics at annual Art Exhibitions in KZN. After 25 very successful years of Pottery and Painting, I explored various other crafts including Bear-making, Screenprinting and Tie Dyeing which was used in creating one-of-a-kind garments for a local shop. Dressmaking brought back my memories of patchwork which my mother had taught me. I fell in love with Quilting and Fiber Art and made the decision in 2007 to pursue this artform full time.
In 2008 I was lucky enough to re-locate from Richards Bay on the North Coast of KZN to Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. I joined the DIAS Quilters' Guild and that was a turning point for me. That Guild is so filled with talented quilters, one cannot help but be constantly inspired. I made a point of taking time to learn by attending many classes. All the techniques and skills I have learnt have enabled me to experiment and develop my own style in the process. I love quilting for clients, and I am committed to teaching quilting, with my SAQG Teachers Qualification in 2017.
I enjoy using bold, bright and colorful fabrics to give a modern twist to traditional quilting. I teach classes at a beginner, intermediate and advanced skill level.
I enjoy teaching a mix of techniques and methods. I don't believe there is only one way to do something. I love to learn as much as I love to teach.
I aways have new classes and workshops in the pipeline - subscribe to my email updates to learn more.

I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process. I often incorporate unconventional materials and techniques into my work, which allows me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my craft. I like a modern quilting approach to traditional quilting methods.
